We are excited to announce that Children’s Mercy Hospital is offering a series of Child-Adult Relationship Enhancement (CARE) Workshops designed specifically for parents and caregivers of children aged 2-12. These workshops are ideal for those who have experienced stressful or traumatic events, are dealing with behavior problems, or simply wish to strengthen their relationship with their child.

Part I: Relationship Enhancement
Caregivers are taught skills to decrease negative behaviors while developing positive communication with their child.
Part II: Strategies for Compliance
Caregivers are taught elements of effective discipline and child management skills such as how to give good commands, when and how to use selective ignoring, and other discipline techniques to redirect problematic behavior.
These workshops are fun and interactive, completely free of charge, and for adults only (unfortunately, childcare is not provided at this time). CARE Workshops are offered throughout the year at different times and at a variety of locations in the Kansas City metro area.
R.S.V.P. is required, space is limited and we are unable to provide childcare. To register for a CARE workshop, please call (816) 855-1720 or Sign up here.
